Nutrition is essential to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. One's nutrition needs differ depending on the physical lifestyle adopted to keep up with energy demand, whether it's the frequency of exercises done or the patterns of daily routines.
For example, a person whose job involves traveling has a higher nutritional demand than a person with an office job. Additionally, an athlete or a person who works out more frequently will use up energy quicker, and therefore, it is vital to replenish these nutrients to promote better recovery.
That being said, it doesn't mean that an inactive person does not require nutrition as it is still needed to reduce the increased risk of developing chronic diseases such as heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and obesity due to a sedentary lifestyle. An inactive person needs to meet a sufficient amount of nutrients while consuming fewer calories due to lesser energy demand, making it trickier and even more vital to maintain proper nutrients intake.
