The Costs of Modern Lifestyle

We can't deny that the modern lifestyle has changed our life positively, whereby it provides a more comfortable and faster experience with well-developed technology. However, let’s not forget the adverse effects along with it. 

#1 Unhealthy Diet

For most people across the world, life is getting better, but diets are getting worse, which is the bittersweet dilemma of eating. After a whole day of work, everyone tends to eat out rather than spending time to cook at home. With the fast-paced lifestyle, more and more unhealthy processed food, poor nutritional habits, and eaten in a hurry during lunchtimes have been created to fulfill the 21st-century lifestyle. It seems to be the cost we pay for living in liberated modern societies.

#2 Lack Of Physical Activity 

Most of the people spend average daily sitting time was 6.2 hours on working days while 6 hours on non-working days, which contributed by using a computer, phone, watching TV, and driving

Hitting the gym doesn’t include in the option of after-work activities, as most of us will go home lying on the sofa to watch our favourite TV series. All these habits contribute significantly to unintentional weight gain. 

#3 Over-indulging Lifestyle & Habits

These are the times of year when temptation is hardest to resist, while most of us definitely will eat a lot of delicious and fattening foods. The use of high technology machines is another way of modernity. High levels of stress will increase hunger and desire for highly palatable, calorie-dense foods, which can cause obesity and other eating disorders. Besides, it will create a higher chance of getting cardiovascular disease, including heart disease, high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, heart attacks, and stroke.

Commonly, it will cause menstrual problems, skin problems, such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema, and permanent hair loss. Yes! Sounds pretty intense but it is important to raise such awareness because in reality many people are actually going through day by day with these problems without realising it.

#6 High Exposure To Radiation & Blue light From Mobile & Computer Screen

Mobile and computer are omnipresent in our lives and are addictive. Most of the people now couldn’t live without their mobile phone as it does more than just calling and texting. 

We use it for a variety of purposes, such as paying the bill by using mobile apps, play games, read, watch drama, keeping in touch with family members, and conducting business.

In another point, which means we are highly exposed to radiation and blue light from mobile and also computer screens.
